On the company’s website, Alvarez explains where the concept stemmed from, writing: “One day in 2008 I turned into a rookie photographer who becomes working with a model that recommended I use electrical tape [on] her for the final look.
I had no concept why she would need this, but to make her satisfied, I attempted to apply this tape as a wardrobe. Essentially I wrapped her in black electric tape!”
